I graduated from Firebaugh High School in 1987. I received my preliminary multiple teaching credential from Fresno State in 1991 and completed a BCLAD in 1994 from Fresno Pacific. Then, I completed a preliminary school administration services credential from Fresno State in 1996. Completed the clear school administrative services credential at California State University, Bakersfield. Recently, I have completed a School Business Management Certificate from University of Southern California (USC).

I have been an elementary teacher for five years in the Firebaugh Unified School District. Then I became a vice principal for a year at Gifford Cole Middle School in the Eastside Union Elementary School District and an Elementary Principal for six years at Eastside Elementary School in the Eastside Union Elementary School District. Later, I became a Principal for two years at College Heights in the Bakersfield City School District (2003-2005). A Director of Personnel for the Bakersfield City School District (2005-2007). Currently, I am the Assistant Superintendent of HR/Business in the Tulare Joint Union High School District (2007 – present).
